BIG DA'S OFFICES RACK UP MILLIONS IN RESERVES
LDAA KILLS BRADY STATUTE IN CLOSED DOOR CAMPAIGN
WHY LDAA CAN'T UNDERSTAND PDOS HAVE NO MONEY: AUDIT REPORTS SHOW BIG BANKROLLS . . .. Well, and they also conveniently don't remind the Legislature that they take 100% of court costs out of the system, giving nobody from Judges, to Clerks to their Parish one red cent! So there's opposition to 'court costs' unless they get 'em.
What is LACDL? The Louisiana Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers is the only professional association of counsel devoted exclusively to the profession of Criminal Defense. In 2010 the original LACDL combined with the Louisiana Public Defenders Association in a invigorating unity of purpose: to preserve, protect and defend the Right to Counsel as created by the founding fathers and made part of the fundamental law of the United States and the State of Louisiana. Annually, the Criminal Bar honors achievement in defense of that principle while also remembering the exceptional service of former Louisiana Supreme Court Justice and U.S. Fifth Circuit Judge Al Tate in a tribute banquet at New Orleans. Public Defenders and Private Defense Counsel are recognized and honored at this dinner. But the real core value of the is association is Due Process of Law and the Right to Counsel. 2012 EVENTS JAZZ FEST CLE - April in New Orleans SPECIAL REGIONAL ONE DAY PROGRAMS - Shreveport, Baton Rouge, Covington RECENT DEVELOPMENTS IN CRIMINAL LITIGATION - Lafayette
